About Tumbler Ridge

Tumbler Ridge was built in the early 80's and carefully planned before they even started to break ground for Canada's newest town.
The town was built to service two large coal mines. There was the closure of both of these mines. Now today we have two new mines in operation Peace River Coal and Western Canadian Coal. Oil and gas is also a booming industry in the area. Tumbler Ridge has turned over a new leaf and has a very prosperous future.
